High moral standard and truly cares about people
Dr. Shannon Ginnan, Medalase Founder
David's health journey started early and includes both triumph and tragedy. During high school, he realized his first real epiphany as The Healthnut; with a diet of burgers, fries, pizza, ice cream and marathon workouts he chiseled a drug-free physique. His focus on the physical dimension of health led him to become a Certified Fitness Trainer. While at college, he was the Campus Heathnut verified by consuming pounds of lunch meat daily. He also had the distinct privilege to serve as one of the youngest Strength Coaches for ORU’s NCAA womens volleyball team. However, during the peak of his college experience, he incurred a devastating athletic injury to his extremities and subsequent diagnosis from a medical specialist of Kienboch’s Disease. He began a long battle with depression while trying to manage pain from the injury.
He began a transformation process from heavy lifting, bodybuilding, a diet of processed foods to more whole foods, functional lifestyle workouts, and astute attention to his spirit. Although pain was the motivator, what was lost in physical size and strength, he gained in spirituality and emotional well-being. After five years of personal struggle with pain and thoughts of giving up his dreams in the health arena, David was healed of Kienboch’s Disease. This divine intervention came as a result of prayer and faith in God’s word and by applying biblically based health modification principles. The “David” that was once physically challenged is pain free. This change led him to awaken others towards the possibility of sound health principles by experiencing abundant living.
